Fishing is one of the few family activities that can connect generations. It is a great way to get youth involved in an activity that is fun, healthy and connects you with the environment.

It has been shown that youngsters that have been introduced to fishing as a child, continue to fish into adulthood.  If you have never fished before, it is easy to get started by signing up for one of the Freshwater Fisheries Learn to Fish programs.

The Salmon Arm Fish and Game Club supports freshwater fishing in and around the Shuswap by providing information on the local fisheries to our club members as well as information on any issues that Fisheries is experiencing.

Watch for free Family Fishing Days put on by the Province as well as functions sponsored by the Club.
